A thermally optimized profile with a Uf = 0.8 W/(m²K) at 90mm profile width has been developed using new production technology and the first sample have been manufactured. The new profile with the name TopTherm 90 was presented to the public at the tradefair Fensterbau/Frontale 2008 in Nuremberg.

The next stages of the project were to field-test the profile and frame construction concerning thermal and mechanical properties; these tests have now been successfully completed.

Work is currently being carried out on optimizing facade systems.
